“Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings” (Mark 11:25-26 AMPC).
Unforgiveness is bitterness and poison for our daily life of Worship and Intercession, and affects our communion with the Holy Spirit in our relationship with Christ and the Father.
When we allow offenses to interrupt our relationship of being one with Christ, we lose the ability to love the Father. Sometimes people say; “I don’t feel like forgiving” but forgiveness is not a feeling but it is a command from him keep us in peace and harmony with our family and others. Remember if we forgive, He will forgive us.
Forgiveness is a decision to listen and obey the Father’s instructions but how do we listen to Him? Firstly, we need a humble and teachable heart to listen carefully then we will understand clearly and know the truth. Do not allow your heart to be full of rubbish, in your time of intimacy He wants to heal your heart, so that you will live a life full of His love and peace.
When we are one with Him, His nature in us enables us to forgive on a daily basis and I encourage you to cry out from your spirit to His to “let the Lord lead your heart into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ” (2 Thessalonians 3:5 NLT).
“Love means doing what God has commanded us, and He has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning” (2 John 1:6 NLT). Jesus always submitted to the Father by obeying His commands and in the middle of the pain on the Cross He said; “Forgive them because they do not what they are doing”. Jesus Learned obedience by his suffering.
When we do not forgive, there is disorder in our thoughts and emotions, this damages other people and ourselves, destroys family life and other relationships. However, when you listen to the voice and the instruction of the Father, we get a true perspective and it is easy to forgive.
It is time to clean the temple (your heart) from all offence. Let it go! Hear His voice, obey, forgive and love one another. Pray for the revelation that you will have a full understanding and expression of His love.
