Obedience through death to self is the greatest honour we can give to our Father God. This is what Christ did and He empowers us to do likewise in our daily lives, ‘There is no greater love than this that a man lay down his life for his friends’ (Jn 15:13).

When we honour the child we honour the father. If you honour the Son of God, you honour Father God. When we obey the Word of God, we are obeying Christ, the Living Word, and the Father is honoured.

Life is not about doing or being good or bad but about being in the will of the Father and His will is always good. (Jn 5:19) We can only know the will of the Father when our spirit is connected and in agreement with His Holy Spirit, and we will be like Him! (Cor 6:17, Ro 6:5)

To be filled, governed and led by His Spirit is to live by faith. “Living by faith” has nothing to do with whether you have a monthly salary or not, it means you allow yourself to be totally governed by His Spirit and not your soulish mind, will or emotions. You depend on Him to guide and provide. He is your divine wisdom and intelligence to take and make right(eous) decisions in obedience to His Word. When you make time for spiritual devotion, He is your intimacy and you find true security.

The soul without the Holy Spirit has no Life. Everything done in the flesh profits nothing, it is the Spirit who gives life. Without faith and without the Holy Spirit everything is vanity, temporary and ultimately leads to be an empty life. It is a life lived without hope and vision because it cannot know God, it is separated from Him by its own will and sin; until it turns back to the source of Life.

Authentic repentance of the heart to the Father immediately connects the human spirit to Father God’s Holy Spirit. True humility and repentance turns its back on a self-centred life, and becomes Christ-centred by receiving His redemptive grace by faith and this allows the Holy Spirit to cleanse and regenerate the human spirit (Titus 3:1-7)

A Life that is empowered by the Holy Spirit is totally satisfying and secure and enables our Faith to operate by obedience with the Father’s love in and through us to others (Eph 3:7). When we choose to let the Holy Spirit help us obey the Fathers will we are letting Him govern and God’s Kingdom comes on earth as it is in heaven!

Everything done by faith, led by the Spirit of God, honours Him, submits to His will and is of infinite value, of eternal worth and glorifies Him alone.

As the Lord Jesus said; ‘You love me if you obey my commandments’ (Jn 14:15) and ‘To obey is better than sacrifice’ (I Sam 15:22). Ask yourself ‘Is my life Christ-centred or self-centred? Do I need to turn back to my Heavenly Father and ask for forgiveness and renewal in a particular area of my life? Stay connected with Him always! Ask the Holy Spirit to help you right now to experience the Father’s love and Presence, as He empowers you to live in obedience to the light of His Word.

Obedience leads to blessing and blessing leads to joy. You are blessed to be a blessing and the Joy of the Lord is your strength!
